I finally got around to writing a quick review on some very inexpensive Unertl type external scope mounts being offered from Leatherwood / HiLux Optics Co.

Very interesting. Is it possible the reviewer set the slide mechanism up wrong? I'd have thought the scope should move forward under recoil, initially, as the shock of discharge would be greater than when the rifle is pulled up by resistance from the shooter's shoulder.
