Are Vortex spotters any good?

I was going to get a Konus , but Im debateing on a Vortex Nomad

PS, Just read some reviews on opticsplanet about Vortex spotters, negative about clairity and detail

Think ive decided Konus spot 80

Go to cameralandny.com and look up their vortex no name spotter it is actually the nomad. I'm waiting on mine, also you can go to the 24hourcampifire optics and look at the reviews.

Thats why I asked, camerland has that special.

But havent seen any positive reviews, just negative

That's telling in itself.
I bought my "last" spotter, so I'm not in the market for a spotter. But, what did you read negative about the Vortex spotter? I like to keep abreast of spotters.

Don, I have only read the reviews that Opticsplanet has about Vortex.

I realy dont know anything about the quality of Vortex-lenses or Houseing.

I did get to compare a Konus with a Luepold, and a guy at the range let me try his Burris landmark 15-45x60. The Konus and Luepold houseing were a plastic and the burris houseing was aluminum. The Konus has crappy lens covers but very good optics.

I know the some of the guys at Benchrest forum like the Konus for the money
