I have a pair of B&L Trophy Elites in 8x42 that I love, but can be heavy and large at times. What are you actually using for a "pocket binocular" that you are happy with? Thanks!

You may want to take a look at the Zeiss Conquest or Victory 8x20's. the quality is there at a lot less cost that the Leica and Swarovski compacts.

I have lots of big binocs, but I have started hunting with pocket size binocs with a chest harness. This year I wore 9x25mm Nikon Travelite. I can wear them all the time and I cannot feel the 9 ounce weight. The only problem is if I eat, the eye pieces get filled with spillage. http://www.swfa.com/pc-6880-65...ite-v-binocular.aspx I wear them high on my chest and can actually stock game with a belly crawl without hang ups. I still get into pin cushion cacti, but that is not a binocular problem

Three years ago, I bought a pair of these binox from Doug, the Victory 8x20's, and gotta say they are excellent. The image is bright and clear all the way to the edges of the FOV. And they weigh in at about 8 ounces, which works for me.

Last year I got a pair of Leica 8x42 Ultravids from Doug and thought all my binocular needs were answered. Then we went to Peru and after one day of lugging them over Macho Pichu I came home and ordered a Leica 8x20 Ultravid. When I am really planning on using glass, I take the 42s. When I think it would just be handy to have some binocs, the little ones get taken along. "There always seems to be a big market for making the clear, complex."
