hi im new to these forums. Im from New Zealand. i was given an old 4x36 post and rail scope. it is marked mayoscope made in germany. no one in NZ seems to have heard of them. Thinking of putting it on a baikal 308 but i would like to know if they are any good first. it has clear crisp optics and does not fog up after being put in the fridge and then a heated room. any help you can give would be appreciated.

Welcome to AR, NZ Hunter. I've not heard of the mayoscope, maybe an internet search would yield some info??

If it tested good as you stated, it's probably worth a try on your rifle IMO.
