Leupold codes their serial numbers to indicate the year of production. Can someone pass this code along?

I'LL do this just for you !!!Any scope before 1974 will not have a prefix or suffix letter in the ser.# starting in 1974 with prefix E all the way to Z IN 1992. They skipped letters I,O,Q. Starting in 1993 suffix letter A and on down the alphabet,again skipping I ,and i guess they will skip O,and Q. This is the info i was given,not sure if it's all correct,but i checked it against know dates on a few scopes,and it was correct. terry
