Gents: Can anyone tell me the source of a quick release base/rings for the Ruger 77 Magnum? I've got one on its way in 375 and I'd like the ability to release the scope (Leupold 1.75-6) in case of follow up in the thick stuff. Thanks. Gary

GARY there was an out fit which made levers which you could screw onto you ruger ring s and have them as Q.D like the talleys, but i dont know who they are, it was a while ago personally the ruger rings are not to hard to take of , you just need a coin in your pocket and that takes care of every thing, uncrews the rings and tightens them i have used the system for years and love the ruger rings on my W M70 S REGARDS DANIEL

Warne makes a QD for the 77. I have several 77's that I use them on and they work fine. Last fall I took a 77 to Namibia that I had 2 identical Leupold 1.75x6's for as well as the NECG peep sight that fits on the Ruger base. With the QD set-up I was also able to hand-carry the scopes separately from the checked rifle.

Thanks, gents for both your replies. I will look at the Warne QD's. M98....I had thought about doing that if nothing else available....I do like the Ruger rings...they are very solid. Thanks, again. Gary
