I've been looking at the IOR 2.5 X 10 X 42 and I'm trying to decide between the Hunting model and the Tactical Model....I'll be using the scope for Hunting Coyotes and primarily at night but some daytime hunting as well. It looks like there is about $150.00 difference in price and I was hoping that some of you with experience with this scope could shed some light on the difference and what your preference would be..........

I had the Tactical 2.5-10 model. I bought it probably 4 years ago. Rifle was a Sako M75 .300 WM. Eye relief was TERRIBLE. I couldn't keep that scope off my eye. I let some others shoot it, same deal. That said, other IOR users have used this scope and love it. Maybe I just had a bad one. The Tactical model would be my choice. I like the turrets on it opposed to the low profile turrets on the hunting version. (If you go with the MP8 reticle, the turrets may not be that important to you.) I'm a clicker, not so much of a leaner... cheaptrick.....out!!
