Anyone have field experience with any of these scopes? I am looking at their 8X USMC Sniper scope to mount on unertl block on an old Savage in .22 Hornet.

Only that, in comparison, the original Unertl scopes and adjustments are superior in every way. I've got a Unertl 10X 1" Tube/AO Varmit/Benchrest model (de-horned mounts) that might be of interest.

In recent years for so called sniper rifle matches the scope you mention has been placed on Springfield '03's and receive mixed reviews.
Have seen them, never used them, but frequently hear remarks that they are not the best, but do work after some attention is paid to them. Mounts are as mentioned not the best, poor quality, but for casual shooting as apparently your goal, might work OK.
