StonecreekCan't confirm the rumor, but I'd say it's about time. Leupold should also get out of the camera business.

richjYou can see that Nikon cameras and scope were never linked across to each other. They were run as separate entities .
What always put me off was the number of Nikon reconditioned scopes that popped up for sale and I do own a few Nikons and never had a problem so far.
To get back on topic , I have no idea if they are getting out.

mdvjrp93I was just told at natchez that they were . I came here to see if anybody else had heard this. I guess ill check with midway and see what they have heard.

mdvjrp93Yeah they are history in the scope making business. That means their warranty is good as long as the parts last. They are shutting down production in January 2020. I guess my guns will be wearing leupolds.

BuglemintodayThe Monarch line is good glass, that is sad that they are getting out of it. My 7mm STW has a Monarch5 and my 7mm Wby has a Monarch3.
I wonder what they will do with the warranty once the parts are used up? Use it toward binoculars or a camera?

NormanConquestI own several Nikon cameras + lenses but only one scope. They do make superb optics for photography but I really prefer Kahles + Leupold in my scopes. Swarovski makes a damn good one as well but I can't really see any superiority over my Kahles. If they're dropping the line it would stand to reason that it was sales instigated.

Mike RayI returned one for repair a week ago no problems and no charge, no mention of getting out of scope business.
