Just got back from Peru (of all places) and have decided we need a pair of light, compact binoculars. I took my Ultravid 8x42s but they were heavier and more unwieldy than necessary for most uses.

Thinking 8x20s, but want some more suggestions.

I have a pair of Zeiss 8x20's and think they provide a great image.
I bought them based on Doug at Camerland's advice. I asked him among the top three makers, which do you recommend? He said, Zeiss. So, that what I bought.
I have not compared them to any other make. so I can't cmt on which is "best".
