I am assuming that the elevation and windage drums are settable or able to be calibrated to show "zero" for both elevation/windage?? For the elevation, after you sight in your rifle, simply loosen the set screw which holds the drum tight against the shaft and rotate it until it shows either 0 or may be marked 1,2,3,etc., then retighten set screw to hold drum in place. That would be your elevation for say, 100yds. Same concept applys to the windage, but suggest you turn your windage drum fully to one side or the other, turn back completely to other side and count the clicks and place drum in middle of that count. Say it takes some 250 clicks for full travel, then you would center the windage drum for half of that. Not saying that would put you in the center of the target and will most likely take some adjustments one way or the other, but once you have that done, again reset the drum to indicate 0 for windage. This way you have something equal to windage adjustment either left or right. Not familiar with your particular scope and the above is assuming you do have what I call "drums." Might also suggest that the markings on most scopes are small and a dab of paint, white, red, etc. would help you see if the drum is located where you want it. If your scope does not have drums, the resetting does not apply, but the concept of centering windage and marking would be apply. Good luck. | |||
