Looking for suggestions for Steyr SBS mounts...maybe a QD set up..will be putting a Nikon 2.5-10x42 on this gun.

Same bases as the Browning A bolt. I have Leupold on mine. Just about anything is available.

I have original Steyr QD mounts on mine and find them great.

Talleys are what you want, especially since you want a good QD system.

IMHO, Talleys are the best.

I have them on my Steyr SBS Forester.

Yep, I second the Talleys. Have them for my SBS Mountain rifle.

I put Leupold QRW bases (same as Browning A-Bolt, just like smithrjd said) on two SBS rifles - a 9.3x62 and 6.5x55 - then sold them before before ever shooting them. The new owners left 'em on (and discovered both rifles were sub-MOA shooters out of the box).
