My father in law passed away and left me a Remington Scoremaster. It has a Weaver C6 scope on it. I have never seen these type of reticle adjustment. It has teardrop covers which when pivoted expose a single Phillips screw. Is this the way you adjust the reticle? If so which way do you turn the screw to adjust up/down and left/right?

Thanks in advance.

This sounds like the scope that was on a 22 rifle I had as a kid. The tear drop caps were plastic and are removed to expose the adjustments. The caps are rotated so that you can get a hold of them to pop them off.

Thank you. The mystery is solved. I pivoted the caps but didn't know to pull on them to take them off. I was afraid I'd snap the plastic.
