I just mounted a set on an Encore barrel today and when I sighted it in I ran out of upward adjustment on my scope before I got the elevation I needed. (I'm within a 1/2" of zero at 100yds. with a 25-06) They sell the shims to make up for this and I'm wondering how thick I need to make up for this. Anybody have a guess?

Thanks,
Rich

They make a full set with +5,+10, and +20. With this one set, you can pick up 30 MOA, allowing you to set the scope back to its optical center and still zero the scope. Scope adjustments work best near center.

From Midway catalog:
"Replacing the standard inserts with the +/- .005" inserts in one of the rings will move the point of impact approximately 5" @ 100 yds."

As bowhuntrrl stated, best to get scope back to optical center; the full set is only $10.99 from Midway.

I ordered a set. Just so happens they're on sale in the new Midway flier. Big Grin
