I have been looking for a new scope for my .223 and my .257 for ground hog hunting and like how the Weaver Classic V Rifle Scopes have a ballistic reticule with cross hairs and not the circles the Nikon's I use for deer hunting has.

How are the Weavers performing these days? A friend has one of the Target fixed powers and also a high powered Grand Slam variable and likes them both.

Don, I have multiple ones, and I really like them...a couple of 6 x 24s, a couple of 4 x 16s, a couple of 3 x 9s, and a batch of 6 and 4 power ones..

They are excellent scopes...
