What do you think of the 1.25x8 Bushnell scope? Went to the Bushnell Outlet in Kansas City a while back. Lots of Optics to look at and most you do not need to ask to see them. You just pick it up. I went to see a 1.25x8 6500 scope. With 6" of eye relief I think it would make a good scope for a hard recoiling rifle and maybe a good scope for a DG rifle. It weighs about 15 ozs so it is not too heavy for a 30mm scope. My biggest problem was the crosshairs were to thin for me with my older eyes getting more and more calcum floaters. I wish it was available with a German #4 reticle. This store had some other brands of scopes that seem very bright and clear for the money and with lots of different reticles. Lots easier to look at scopes and reticles than at the local Cabellas or Bass Pro Store. Of course they do not have Leupolds, Nikon or any of the high end Euro brands. I rate prices at this store as retail plus unless it was on sale.

I've been waiting to see one of these. I am considering it for my 416 Rigby. The combination of eye relief and 1.25X should make it a great scope for a DGR.
I spoke with a guy from Bushnell, and he said more reticle choices, including Ger#4 (my favorite) should be forthcoming for 2010.
Also, the scope shows 6 inches of mounting space, good for those looong actions!
