Dan, you and I normally think along the same lines... but I have to deviate from your opinion this time... ever since Meade has purchased Simmons, Weaver, and a few other scope lines.. I wouldn't touch a Weaver with a 10 ft pole now.... Not sure the quality is still there, I had one come apart oo a 223, with less than 600 rounds thru it, and they were loaded down to their recoil was basically a 22 Hornet... So I sent it back to their CusTomer Service Dept.... I sure did a lot of cussin'! They are out to win the Worst Customer Service ( in Rifle Scope History) Award....
