If I wear +1.75 eyeglasses, is that the same as having some magnification with a red dot sight. If so, how much. The whole 0x and 1x think confuses me and I know it shouldn't.

I imagine it would give you 1.75x magnification, though I'm not up with the way these spectacle values are expressed.

If you have them, look over top, then through the lenses and estimate how much bigger they make stuff.

The question then would be: can you see the target in focus through the sight, as your glasses are presumably for reading.
