I need to replace my old Bushnell spotting scope.

I hunt a mostly in the west (mountains) and most of it is spot and stalk hunting. 40X is probably the max I require, 20 X is very usable.

Some guys have been using 15X binocs on tripods, others traditional spotting scopes.

Any suggestions as to the two options, and what optics do you use/recommend?
