I have used them on .375 H&Hs and smaller calibers. I have used the 1.8-5.5X Conquest on the .458 AR after checking w Zeiss (who said it could take it). No problems at all. I'd think the 9x isn't necessary on the Rigby ... but each to his own Mike -------------- DRSS, Womper's Club, NRA Life Member/Charter Member NRA Golden Eagles ... As mentioned, properly mounted, no problem. I know a couple of people that have them mounted on 378 Wby that have had zero problems (braked and non braked). Ken.... "The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn't so. " - Ronald Reagan

Thanks gentlemen. That is what I needed to hear. I originally used the 416 as an example, but only plan to put one on a 9.3x74 and a .338, and possibly a 375 H&H. BUTCH C'est Tout Bon (It is all good)

Begno, I have the 3-9x40MC on a .338 WinMag, a 9,3x62, and two .375 H&Hs. Wonderful scopes of a decent objective size. Love'm! Mike -------------- DRSS, Womper's Club, NRA Life Member/Charter Member NRA Golden Eagles ... Knifemaker, http://www.mstarling.com
