I purchased a Zeiss Jena telescope "as new", in fact it looks like a brand new one. It only cost € 259 but I wonder whether the quality of JENA optic is good enough. It is ment for a Ferlach Hambrusch cape gun 9,3 x 72 R - 16/65. I was looking for a Zeiss Z telescope for a long time but couldn´t find one and when I saw the Jena on a eBay auction I quickly bought it.

But before I have it mounted I would like to hear your thoughts.

How does it seem to your eye? That's the true test. Or are you asking if the scope is well built enough to handle the recoil?

I was thinking of recoil and protection against dust and dampness. Otherwise it´s a nice scope without a single scratch.
