Leupold STD Mount Windage Screw Problems?

Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has experienced any problems with the Leupold STD mounts with the windage screws not holding?

I mounted a new VX-II with the suggested mounts by Leupold for my 7MM Rem. and while sighting the scope in the windage screws kept coming loose and finally sheered off the little lip that holds them in place. It appears the scope was secure and mounted properly. I have never used a two peice mount of this type and really scratching my head.

One issue I noticed is that for bolt action you have to mount the rear mount backwards so the bolt can clear the mount which I did (Leupold instructions). So I am not sure if that what flaws the design.

I am basically trying to figure out if it is the nut behind the wheel or if anyone else has had issues with this. I have never seen anything like it. Leupold is obvoiusly a reputable company and I have not seen any other negative comments about this being a problem.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the advice. Leupold is sending me a new setup at no charge. I will give it another shot and see what happens.

If anyone else has any info please post it. I am still wondering if I should buy a one piece setup or try this one again.

Would not use the Loopy Bases and rings on a bet. Before I knew better broke a couple or three bottom windage screws and the front twist on ring is weak as well if you have to remove the scope more than onece or twice.
