I am a huge fan of the Leupold Dot reticle. I am also buying a 1.5 x 5 VX3 to mount on a 458WM. I spoke with Leupold about some reticle options and it so happens that they offer a "heavy" version of this reticle for this scope.
I am on cloud nine!
Typical Leupold dot covers 4.1" - 1.4" at 100 yards. in the 1.5 x 5 VX3
Heavy version covers 7.1"- 2.5" at 100 yards.

For you dot fans out there that would like a larger dot for up close and personal hunting this is a real option as most dots are small.
