I have an eye problem I can no longer control by concentration. I have a vision problem where my eyes normally focus/point outward at about three-degree angle for each eye, yielding a side-by-side image that I force into single one. This is more difficult to control at distance than viewing closer objects. Until recently, I have been able to force my eyes to focus together rather than seeing the double image. I cannot do this for more than a few seconds now when looking through my binocular. Suggestions? It's so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and then don't say it. I have a partial work around. I wore spectacles that do not have converging prisms. While prescription is no longer current, I am able to use my binocular without serious double vision. I did not use the binocular for at least 30 minutes, a valid test of concept. When I do, if eye strain headache is manageable, I'll buy spectacles with current prescription, but without convergence, to use for hunting. A kludge, but workable, perhaps.
