Does anyone have a pair of Swarovski EL Binocs that they purchased new a few years ago. If so, I would like to know what font style was used for the markings on the Binocs. Big Dot or little dot. Thanks.

Yes I did, but I am not sure what you are talking about? Why?

22WRF, I hope I understand you correctly. I took a look at the 8.5x42 ELs I bought maybe a year after they first became available in Europe, please don't ask me exactly when that was... It is quite a few years back now.

On top of the focus wheel, the following markings are visible:

quote:
EL
8,5x42
7.4 (degree)

The "degree" is - as could be expected - denoted with a small circle. Sorry, I don't have one of those on my keyboard.

Is that what you are asking about??

- mike

At the brand new ones in my shop it is very small circle - so small I could not think that it could be made smaller !

You know that we have a 60 aniverary edition right now - so the only thing which is different is the price...

I acquired my EL's on 11/30/2001 and they show a " ° ", as witnessed by this photo.

I hope this willl answer your Q.

5 shots are a group.

If you're trying to prove that Cameraland is pushing older merchandise, you're wasting your time. If you want the age of something they have for sale, just ask Doug.

Well, homer, I got it from this thread, where you asked about the dot size in his demo ELs for sale, a question which had nothing to do with the thread topic and which you never explained.

"dot" thread

Perhaps I mistook your intent, if so, I apologize.

Just ready to pull the trigger on purchasing a pair of 10 x 42 ELs when I find out that Swarovski is coming out with a new EL sometime soon.

Does anybody know more about them than what is on the Swarovski website?
