Absolute top quality scope but havent seen any for a while.

It is my belief that they have been bought up by Swarovski or perhaps renamed Swarovski.

Can anyone confirm/deny that?

Pecar with steel tubes are great, the classic 3-7 ie a 3X adjustment piece are great.

Their webbsite is:http://www.pecar-berlin.de/WAS__NOCH__/ENGLISH_HOME/english_home.html.

To be honest they are some what oldschool in their style but they are good, solid and one can get interchangeable reticles if one so desires.

I belive that you own one of these, http://www.pecar-berlin.de/WAS__NOCH__/CLASSIC/classic.html

There are lot of running deer target shooters as well as other running target shooter thatr use their three dot reticle here in Sweden.

Personaly I am looking for a 4-10x45 with a nr 1 reticle for lowlight shooting at extended ranges. I would then have to adopt/retro fit a hight adjustment turret, but it would be great.

yes,
The Pecar is an excellent scope and you can look forward to many years of excellent shooting with both it and the 1640. Take care and God bless. cordell
