Has anyone used or know about these products ? I was looking at their 8x42 binoculars.

There are better binoculars for about the same price. If you are looking at the Alpen Apex 8x42mm I would also suggest looking at the Audubon Equinox HP 8x42mm, Bushnell Legend 8x42mm, Minox BL 8x42 BR, Nikon Monarch ATB 8x42mm or Celestron Noble 8x42mm. If you are looking at the Alpen Teton 8x42mm I would also look at the Fujinon CD 8x42mm, Celestron Regal LX 8x42mm, Minox BD 8.5x42 BR ASPH, Pentax DCF SP 8x43mm or Vortex Viper 8x42mm. If you are looking at the Alpen Rainier 8x42mm I would also look at the Kahles 8x42mm, Meopta Meostar 8x42mm, Minox HG 8.5x43 BR ASPH, Pentax DCF ED 8x43mm, Stokes DLS 8x42mm or Vortex Razor 8x42mm. For around $300 don't forget to look at the Eagle Optics Ranger SRT 8x42mm, Bushnell Discoverer 8x42mm, Leupold Olympic 8x42mm, Pentax DCF WP II 8x42mm, Stokes Broadwing 8x42mm, Swift Audubon 8.5x44 HHS or Vortex Fury 8x42mm. As you can see there are a lot of choices, but I think you can do better than the Alpen line.

I found a alpen spotter at the local shooting range. I posted fliers and no one ever claimed it, so I kept it. I put it in the wife's car so that we always have some optics in there when we travel. It is ok, but there are much better out there for the $. If you are looking at binos in the $300 give the swift audohon 8.5x44 HHS a look, I have a pair and I don't know if they can be beat for under $300...I paid $290 to my door.
