Flip open caps on a Burris scope

Hello,
I just purchased a new Fullfield 2 along with the flip open caps. In order to change the magnification you used to turn a dial, now they made the entire rear objective move. When you have the caps open and you want to change magnification, the lid now moves 180 deg. on my 3-9 (if you centered the cap at 6 power). You can forget about working the bolt to chamber another round, it hits the lid!!!
I love the new Burris, but I hate using bikini covers on a big game hunt. The flip open caps are the best. What do I do? I don't want to have to take my new scope back to the store!?
Thanks,
Elk Country

I dislike those flip open caps. They bring the ocular lens too close to your vitals. When stored I use the bikinis or the like. When I am out in the field, zero..... lol

Another con to the flip up caps is that they will freeze shut when in cold temps.

Moisture gets into the seam and freezes. Good luck opening them after that.

Looks like your scope wasnt made to wear flip ups. Tough luck.
