Hi, just to let you know a nice gesture from Aimpoint; few days ago, a good friend of mine let accidentally fall his rifle, topped with a XD5000 Aimpoint; despite the rifle was inside a soft case and it only felt from his hands to the floor, the Aimpoint got a blow that damaged the small switch/potentiometer that adjusts the dot intensity. I sent an email to Aimpoint Sweden, asking for the possibility to send them the sight for mending; they replied that the standard price for all service is 62€ + postage, that means an overal cost of about 100€. Then, I sent a second email, asking them to send us the potentiometer, since my friend can replace it. 3 days later he got a small parcel with the potentiometer inside, at no charge! . My friend and me are great fans of Aimpoint sights; we both bought our XD5000 probably 8-9 years ago and it's still our primary and very effective sight device for driven hunts.
