To shot wild boar in woods and musk ox in Greenland, what is the best scope for this caliber, that is what kind of zoom?. And maybe someday to Afrika.

Sauer and Zeiss, perfect match.

I have a Nikon 1.5-6x on my 9.3x62. The 6x gives you all the magnification you will ever need on a 9.3x62.

Sherpi, I liked the Kahles 2-7x36 on the 9,3x62 I just finished:

It has the 4a reticle which I think is about as good a general hunting reticle for a 9,3 as I can think of. The large posts pick up well in poor light and the fine bars allow for good accuracy...............DJ

I have a Leupold 2.5-8x32 on my 9.3x62. I think the lower magnification variables are great for this cartridge.

3 shots do not make a group, they show a point of aim or impact.
5 shots are a group.

Mine has a 2-7 Burris Signature. I would recommend the 1.75-6, 1.5-6, 2-7. You could use 3-9 but it might be a little slow on those driven boar hunts.

djpaintles,

Is the tube on that Kahles a 1" or 30mm?

If found I disliked the 1.5-6 I tried on my 9.3 as I could'nt get used to seeing the barrel through the scope...I found it very off putting for some reason...I think that I would prefer a variable with a bottom end of either 2 or 2.5...Its all a bit moot really as i went with a 4x32mm Meopta and it worked better than I expected...So good, I bought a 4x36mm S&B as its primary and will use the Meopta as a spare...

Regards,

Pete
