Since nobody has answered:

I haven't looked through the new Victory HT series binos, but I compared the Victory T FL series binos to the Leica Ultravids and the Swarowski EL's 5 years ago. I bought the Zeiss Conquests just because they were really good, really light, and I couldn't convince myself to spend over $1K.

What I found was that I could read an eye chart better with the Zeiss than the other top end binos. And the HT's by all reports have even better resolution. I really liked how things looked through the Leicas the best. Later, talking to folks from the Leica factory at one of the NRA shows, they said that was because their prisms are biased to show more of the red's. I believe Swaro's were biased to yellows and Zeiss were biased to blue.

In any case, trying to compare several sample of each of the big euro 3 plus Meopta/Cabelas Euro and Nikon from various quality levels, I thought the Zeiss had the best center resolution.

Hope this helps,
Steve

I have the big 10x56 Zeiss Victory T.FL which are top of the notch for low light.
I use them only from tree stands and high seats hunting red-and roe deer and boar.
They are to big and heavy when stalking.
Exellent scopes !!

My "walkabout" scope is the rather new Zeiss Conquest HD 8x42.
An exellent scope for the price which have rated top of the list (compared to price) on several tests here in Scandinavia.
I also have a old pair of Leica Trinovid 8x42 BA.
It´s built like a tank, but a very good scope, now retiered to bird watching.

We do a lot of low lite and night hunting (legal) and Zeizz is the scope most commonly seen, close followed by Zwarovski.
Leica and Meopta also see a lot of use.

I have not looked over any of the new HT series binos yet, but for my use the Victory and Conquest HD binos do the job with flying colors.

I bought the Zeiss Victory HT 8X42 to take to Namibia last year and love them. I also have an older pair of Leica Geovid 10X42 that I use when longer ranges are involved. I also have leica 8X32 and Zeiss 8X30.

The Zeiss HT 8X42 Victory is the nicest glass I have ever looked through in a binocular. You won't be disappointed in them. They may be a little heavier than some on the others recommended but I am taking them back to Moz for a buff hunt.

I think the Conquest 8x42HD's are outstanding. I can't imagine how good those Victory HT's must be
