I've got a project rifle. A K98 Mauser that I picked up that has standard Redfield bases with extra high rings on it. I'm trying to find a scope that will be clear when the bolt is pulled. I picked up a Weaver K4 and it almost works, but not quite. I need a scope that has a 1.4 inch or less diameter on the rear objective bell. (standard 1" diameter scope tube). Any ideas ? thanks! The prior line of Leupold Compacts had a smaller ocular, however I understand that the current line of Ultralights that replace the Compacts has a "regular" sized ocular. Another possibility would be to find a Leupold or Lyman Alaskan. They had a 7/8" tube and smaller overall dimensions.

I would just change out the bolt handle, and get the scope I wanted. Bolt handle clearance is common on Mausers.
