Anyone used any of these scopes???

http://www.supersniper.com/SuperSniperSpecs.htm

Was looking at their web site and they look pretty decent, and also look to have a very decent price for all that you get....

Interested in Feedback, positive or negative.. before I plunk my money down for one. or two...

thanks

A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him "Why do you carry a 45?" The Ranger responded, "Because they don't make a 46."

I have no personal experience with the Super Sniper, but I do spend some time lurking at Sniper Central (and play a doctor on TV!).

There are some good reviews of the scope there. Apparently, it's quite a stout piece of equipment, but the glass is what you would expect for the price. However, you might also read some reviews of the Falcon line of scopes there also. They seem to be preferred a bit to the Super Snipers.

Seafire, I have a 10x42 mounted on my 30-06 Tikka. It's a good scope, reliable and very robust. It is very good value for money. I was very lucky, I picked mine up for 80 dollars second hand from a friend of mine who was replacing it with a more expensive scope. I have had great fun with it, it holds it's zero and is very clear. It has a mil dot reticule.

Some time the manufacturers claim that they are goverment supliers under contract and bla, bla, bla, but the product offered to the general consumer has no the same quality otherwise (I saw a recall on Leupold Page about a cheap Chinese copy or the Mark tactical Scopes !!!)http://www.leupold.com/tactical/resources/counterfeit-warning/
Pay a huge mount of money is not a garantee neither, but, thing, why a S&B cost u$1000 again other Tactical scope that cost U$200 ? look to the experts what they used: S&B, Zeiss, Original Leupold, etc...At last you will finish with some of those hight end scopes

Thanks Simon! good to hear on the Optic quality...

Guillermo..

I hear what you are saying.. at least stateside here we are lucky enough to get scopes from sources that, If you don't like their optical quality before mounting them, then they will allow you to return it...

I have more than my share of Leupolds living here where they make them...

I think Euro scopes are overpriced for what you get.. at least my tired old eyes can't see any better thru them....

however these Super Sniper scopes are used on US Military Contracts at least in the Navy.. I have an acquaintence in the Navy that verified that...

If I had less rifles, I could probably afford better optics on the ones I get....

but sometimes a low cost scope works out just fine on a light recoiling rifle...

I have a couple of those low cost Tasco 2.5 x 10s varmint scopes on a 10/22 and a 223 Remington ADL.. they are only $60.00.. I put another on my son's 243 for his first deer season.. we were out in some nasty rainy weather and it stayed nice and clear, didn't fog up.. and for the $60.00 B & L actually backs them up fairly well....

But guys who buy a $60.00 scope and put it on a 375 H & H... well then they get what they asked for... however, I have seen some straight power scopes that are real cheap yet hold up quite well on some large recoiling rifles...

I have a couple of straight 4 power Tasco scopes ( $29.00 at Walmart) and some 4 and 6 power Cabelas scopes that were like $50.00 that have held up surprisingly well.. and the optic quality has been more than fine for the jobs I have asked of them...

of course with my eyes, I have been known to see great out of a cheap scope and then looking thru a high quality 36 power scope and it looked like looking thru a glass of water to me...

cheers gentlemen..

I have a 10x, rear focus Super Sniper that I love. TOUGH, track perfect, and glass quality is probably comparable to a Burris FF II or a Nikon BM.

SEVERAL Super Sniper's are serving as I type in theater in a variety of applications.
Here's a SS on a SAW.

DM's too.

Super Sniper is good to go, IMO. Smiler

Further to my earlier post Seafire, I can regularly shoot sub inch groups using this scope. Also the sidewheel parallax can be used as a basic range finder!

I've had three of them, two 10x and one 16x. Good scopes for the money, although the first 10x did have some reticle/lense issues that I haven't corrected yet (very tough to get warranty work/repair work on these in Canada). I can't seem to hang on to them though, every time I get one it ends up going to a friend. - dan
