the Minox looks good but I am concerned it doesn't have ED glass how much of a difference will this make in low light and at long range compared to say the Vortex 15x56 Kiababs. Can't afford any of the big 3.

I purchased one of the Minox units from CameraLand late last summer, and have used it this hunting season when I'm sitting in a blind. I have a pair of Leica 10X50, and while the Minox aren't as sharp, they're really close. I have not compared the Minox side by side with the Swarovski, and there is probably some improvement, but I couldn't be happier with the Minox. Be warned the Minox is heavy, and a tripod or other device to stabilize the glass is very helpful. Haven't seen the Vortex
