Anyone have a opinion. I don't want to pay $500 for a RF if I don't have to.

I like all the Nikon Rangefinders. Very nice products. I have tested the Monarch Gold 1200 and consistantly would hit tree line at 1100 yards. The most popular one that we sell is the Nikon Monarch 800 for those people that only need a rangefinder out to 800 yards and don't want to spend a lot of money on one. As for the price, you may want to check our site because we sell them well below the $500.00 price.

I agree with John. I've had a 440 and an 800. Both were excellent. I could range an antelope out to about 650 with the Nikon 800. If you need more, get the 1200.
