These are the older (i.e. not manufactured for a long time) "mega-binocs" Swaro produced? The outer casing is pretty square and does indeed look much like a box.

I once hunted (MT?) with an outfitter who used them to locate elk off his porch - somewhere on a far-away mountain. Pretty impressive spotting scope due to binocular construction. I doubt anybody would take them afield due to weight and girth.
