butchlocschmidt & bender warranty
a bit ago i wrote of the problem i was having to get a S&B scope repaired. The scope is an old telescope, but with the finest optics I've ever had. anyway the front lens fell out. I sent it to the US service station, who sent it back to Europe. Now i get a note back that it will cost $425.00 to glue the front lens back in. So much for lifetime warranties.
Yech....

I'd glue the damned lens in myself.

scubaproi would remember them about their lifetime warranty and that other companies - say Swarovski for example - are known to repair something like this free of charge...
and when buying a optic next time, i would know which brand not to take...

j stoviakAll of my S&B's have 30 year warranties. If the scope was manufactured over 30 years ago it may cost you.
