Started moving in the UK on Thursday last week, arrived in Memphis TN early Saturday then placed on a custom hold due to no paperwork with description
Contacted FED EX, got an e-mail address on Tuesday am, the UK shipper sent them a copy of all docs via e-mail before Noon, hold lifted Wednesday early am
Arrived this am
Found the original paperwork the seller included in the clear plastic cover attached to the box not opended(3 copies all signed and dated)
Customs apparently did not look.
Wow
Scope is as was stated.
Would not be afraid of ordering again.

Sounds good. Hopefully you can find some mounts for the rail that don't cost the Earth. Despite that problem, rail mounts give the benefit of stiffening the scope against bending from ham-fisted fitting.

The Germans have long realised that replacing steel with leichtmetall brings a bending danger, whereby they've upped the diameter of the tube and usually added a rail. American makers don't seem to give a damn, leading some gunsmiths to take extraordinary measures to see aluminum one-inch scopes remain stress-free.

Received a bill from FED EX for $ 160.00 import duty.
Over the years ordered new items from both UK & Germany-- never an import fee.
These were leather slings from Frankonia & pigeon decoys (excellent construction made of rubber), Brady game bag, etc.
