I just thought I would relate my positive experience with a reticle change.I sent a 6.5 X 20 scope off to Leupold about 3 weeks ago, the scope was returned last night.I plan to give the scope w/ the new varmint hunter reticle a work out tomorrow. I will use it on a .308 and a .223

I also had a custom reticle installed (VX-III 4.5-14) by Leupold's Custom Shop. Short turn-around and the hold-over points seem accurate enough for hunting purposes. I specified how I'd like to sight my rifle and what distances the hold-over points should match.

If I'm not much mistaken, I paid around $80 plus shipping... I can't seem to get in touch with the Leupold website right now, but there used to be a link to a PDF page for the Custom Shop services and prices...

The Leupold site is down right now. I guess they are updating. There is a link to the custom shop with photos and prices.

I paid $150.00 plus $15.00 return postage. Not a bad deal considering the cost of a new scope. I also have a 4.5 X 14 I may have reworked .I want to play more with the 6.5 X 20 on the sillywett range.

Ah, the Leupold website came back up again. Here is the link to the Custom Shop (I find that part of the website somewhat confusing, but maybe you can figure out how to navigate it...).
