Didn't Weaver of El Paso make a steel bodied scope in 1.5X4.5 wideview?

Anybody ever hunt with one?

Don, I had one. It was called the V4.5-W for the oblong eyepiece. After getting some better optics, I referred to it as the 'Prince of Darkness' as it made even mid day seem like the last moments of light at the end of the day. Eye relief was OK but a dimmer scope could not be found on earth unless it was the K1.5 I bought for a slug gun. Ed
