I have a set of the old style rings that are made so that the scope has to slide into the ring end ways. Scope has to be 1" on both ends.My question is are there any scopes made that I can completly unscrew the ocular lens, slid the ring on the scope, and replace the lens without loseing the nitrogen.

sasquach,

I've never even heard of rings like that!

If can, I would very much appreciate you posting a picture...

Regards,

Pete

I've seen a number of the old one-piece Sako rings for sale on ebay. I THINK that the metal is springy enough to allow you to open them at the one side and separate them enough to squeeze the scope into them. I'm not sure of this as I've never worked with any, but that's the only way they will go on all but a few obsolete scope.
