I think that I would like this to be my next scope to mount on my Sav. single shot 6BR, but need some input on this scope from someone who has one. I'm looking for the pros and cons of this scope. Thanks for looking in.

I had one and sold it. Mechanically it seemed okay, optically it was lacking. Side by side my Nikon Monarchs were much more crisp and clear. The lack of clarity was compounded in low light by it's dim picture.

RollinsB, wow, Im sorry to hear that. I would have thought that it would have been as good as the 4200 6x24x40 that I now have used for the past 4 years. It is very clear edge to edge and tracks just great with very good repeatabilty. I will wait to hear more reviews before making up my mind on this one. The next scope that I had in mind to consider was the Sightron 3 6x24x50 30mm scope. A little more money but some good reviews were read about it. Thanks for the comments.

I have this scope. It tracks true and looks nice, but the optics aren't near as good as my Burris Signature 8-32x. They get a little fuzzy at longer range.

Love shooting precision and long range. Big bores too!

Recent college grad, started a company called MK Machining where I'm developing a bullpup rifle chassis system.

I had to try it and see but it didn't work for me, I got a deal on it so I sold it for what I paid. It was replaced with one of the new Sightron SIII 6-24x50s. It's a much better scope in my opinion and lives up to the reviews. Bruno's has the best price on those scopes that I've seen.

Well, from some of the comments that I've been getting on the B 6x24x50 T makes me think that I should find another way to go. I read a very good review on the Sightron 3 6x24x50 a little while ago and that just might be the my next purchase. I did talk to Bruno's a week ago, and yes, he does have some excellent prices. If I can't swing the Sightron 3, guess it will be another Bushnell 6x24x40 which turned out to be very good for me. I will however make the call on Mon. to check out the price on the S 3. It looks like a very nice glass. besides, it's time to try something different.

If you where considering the Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x50, than I would also recommend taking a look at our Clearidge Ultra XP5 4.5-22.5x50. We have been getting great reviews and people are liking them better then the Bushnell Elite 6500's.

I talked to Jon about these about 18 months ago when I was returning from my deployment. As I understood it, they are made in the same facility as the 4200's. The magnification ranges are slightly different but after mounting it on a Rock River Varminter the glass is as good as any 4200 I have looked through.

Hi, are you saying that they are made by Bushnell?

Our scopes are manufactured by Light Optical Works out of Japan. They also make the Bushnell scopes. Our Clearidge are not made by Bushnell, only the same factory. You can go to www.longrangehunting.com and you can see some reviews on our XP5's.

Another thing to consider is at what ranges you'll be shooting at. If you go with the Bushnell 4200 Elite it has a 30 MM tube. You will have more vertical adjustment range with a 30 MM than you will for a 1" tube. Bill T.
