Posting to the Optics and Varmint Hunting Forums

Greetings AR Colleagues,

I just ordered a Savage LRPV in 22-250 and will mount a Zeiss 6.5x20x50 Conquest target scope on it. There are a number of ring and base combinations available, but I was just wondering what the Forum members might recommend for me to consider. The scope is a stainless finish and I would prefer to match it with the bases and rings but that is not a hard prerequisite. I looked at Leupold, Burris and a few others.

What do you like/recommend?

I'd do whatever your son recommends. He's never steered you wrong in the past.

Burris Signature seems to be the way to go again...

Burris RD rears I believe are needed for the Savage...then I would strongly suggest the Burris Signature rings for the Zeiss scope..no stress/no ring marks...I'd go for the high rings..the 50mm bell & one inch barrel tube...
