A melanistic serval from Tanzania.

I had an incredible sighting of a melanistic Serval Cat not far from the camp. I feel so blessed to had the opportunity to take pictures of this rare specimen. Life in the bush is full of surprises.

Great photos!

You’d think he’d be at a disadvantage.

But then you remember he mainly hunts at dusk or at night.

We have a black cat. He is a very successful hunter.

Sometimes I wonder why natural selection has not made all cats black!
