I leave in about ten days for a hunting trip in Namibia and a shark fishing expedition up in Angola. I like shooting a few (O.K. many) sand grouse and usually take a pump shotgun. Also in case someone whacks a tom leopard in the paw ... Frowner This time I might take my SX2 Winchester semi automatic twelve gauge. Is it still legal to take a semi automatic shotgun into Namibia ? I have a camo Super Black Eagle Benelli but I am not going to bother ... I'd probably put it down on the ground and never see it again.. Roll Eyes Thanks, guys.

Don't think it's legal to bring any semi-auto into Namibia....check w/your PH and the NAPHA web page.

I'm not sure about Namibia but our bird season in SA only start 1 May so I doubt their birds would be open already.

I always try to use enough gun but then sometimes a brainshot works just as good.

Richard,
Enjoy your trip and please don't ask a local to grab the barrel after some shooting or you will end as shark bait... Big Grin

Send my regards to Christie

Untill very recently it was not possile.
I was in Namibia last week but forgot to make such a question.
I am very please to know that you are going into a shark fishing trip to Angola, as I am Angolan and leave in Angola (Luanda).
Please let me know if you need any assistance, as it will be a great pleasure to assist you.
