Guests I rec'd this today on my desktop / I dont have an opinion as it is hot of the press BUT just in case there are guests interested I have copied the deails as I rec'd them Cheers, Peter ============= AT LAST - A "HUNTER'S HANDBOOK" that explains just where hunters-and-hunting fits into the bigger Wildlife Conservation picture. "Managing Our Wildlife Heritage" is an A-5 sized booklet written by a died-in-the-wool national parks field man, Ron Thomson, who is also a university trained ecologist AND a passionate hunter. In fact, there is probably no man alive today who has as much big game hunting experience - elephants, black rhinos, white rhinos, buffaloes, lions and leopards, combined. In this his, latest work, Ron explains the principles and practices of wildlife management ('conservation') in an easy to read style that anybody and everybody will be able to understand. Within it he reasons that hunting is a vital wildlife management tool; and he condemns the anti-hunter animal rights brigade like no other publication ever has. If ANY publication is capable of creating a ground swell of public in support of hunting THIS is "IT". The booklet is available direct from magron@ripplesoft.co.za; or from Tel/Fax +27 12 2530 521 (South Africa). The cost, inclusive of postage in South Africa, is R80,00. The cost for people living anywhere in the world outside South Africa, inclusive of airmail postage, is R 100. (approx. US $ 15.). The principles and practices explained are universally applicable. No hunter ANYWHERE, therefore, can afford NOT to have a copy of this handbook. Hunters will use the advice it offers again and again and again, throughout their lifetimes. | ||
