A nice fake out of two nasties. Intentional or not, it seems to have worked out nicely for the 'deer'. Wink

Fortunately for the deer, neither animal did not break a leg or tore open the tummy etc. That too some guts to stay put while they were trying to chomp on him/her.

Thanks for the link.

Best-

I think I read somewhere that some of the great cats often kill by means of suffocation (chomp down on windpipe and hold). In the vid the cheetah seems to be doing just that. Maybe what happened is the prey critter was caught by Trixy the cheetah, and lost consciousness due to lack of O2. Then Mr. hyena showed up and chased off Trixy. Before Mr. hyena got to properly disembowel Ms. Prey critter, he was distracted by Trixy. When he was busy making his point with Trixy, Ms. Prey awoke and took the opportunity (of a lifetime, no doubt Wink )to bolt. Her wheels seemed to me to work just fine on her way out... Lucky, lucky!
