chuckmaxmanThe Countdown Has Begun!
Less than 60 days to Damaraland in Namibia. 2 of us will be hunting leopard and 3 guys hunting plains game. We will be staying in a tent camp. Area they tell me, hasn't been hunted for a few years.

JohnCrightonCongrats! Wish I was going along. It has now been 2 years since my first/only African hunt and I still think about it on a daily basis. My PH and his father (also a PH) last year changed areas and are working a HUGE concession near the border of Angola that hasn't been hunted in over 20 years. They say the springbok and kudu are mutant monsters up there! I'm hoping sometime in the future I can drag the wife over there with me

silwaneChuck,
It is not too late to cancell. I jsut came back from Africa and if I was you I would not go....
You will not have any fun......There are animals everywhere that need to be hunted, stalked and shot, there is more than enough beer and wine to enjoy whilst watching the African sun set, there is far too much bush to be explored.......and farrrrrr too many miles to be walked on foot...
But you have to do what you feel is right so........

Best luck to you!

chuckmaxmanDavid,
Say hi to Scott. I hunted with him twice. Killed a 61 1/2 in. Kudu on my first safari with him. I believe it's # 39 in SCI. If I knew how to post photo's I would. Me and computers don't mix well.

Will do. I think I have seen pictures of your kudu before at Scott's place. I was chasing a 60 inch kudu last year over on Mof's place but it eluded me, hopefully it is still there and I can get a second chance at him.

strapmanI leave for Namibia June 5 for plainsgame with Boeta Van Heerden. I shouldn't be too far from where you'll be. I hope the silly volcano sits still for the trip and everything plays out well. I'll do a couple days in Etosha with the wife and if necessary we will have a couple days for any lost luggaage to catch up.
