I would like to thank the people on AR, especially Bill C for making my first DG hunt in Zambia a great success.
I got a lot of good advice here from many people that have hunted DG many times and it all proved invaluable.
I asked Bill C so many questions about Peter Chipman's Kwalata Safaris, that he should get a reduced price hunt from Wes. He always had time to answer my many questions and because of my talks with him, I chose to hunt with Peter. A very wise move. I shot a very nice buff along with some other game and had a great hunt. And yes, I will post a hunt report with photo's but will need some help from Terry or Bill C to do it.
The biggest gun I owned up until this hunt was a 338/06. I was a little worried if I could handle the recoil of a 375 H&H. My friend loaned me a Ruger 375 H&H and some loading dies. I took the advice of AR members and shot it mostly off shooting sticks. With that advice and the weight of the Ruger 375, it was very easy to get use to it. I shot close to 300 rounds off the sticks before my hunt
The Judge and another member had used Barnes 270gr TS for buff in their 375's with great results and this bullet didn't let me down. More good advice with less recoil. The Avon Skin So Soft kept the bugs off me as most said it would. AR is a great place to learn about hunting Africa. Thanks Saeed for such a great web site.

Thanks for the thanks! If my wee bit of experience can encourage someone to go to Africa, much less help them there... then Saeed's largess is multipled... as he would have it so!

Semper Fi!
