A few weeks ago I had the great pleasure of purchasing American Hunting Rifles, Inc. from my good friend Ed Plummer. The company will stay right here in the Bitterroot Valley of Montana and will employ the same craftsmen that have been building our fine rifles. Ed will stay on in sales, marketing and new product development. We have redesigned the website, www.hunting-rifles.com with new products like our 700 AHR and a special page for CZ owners who might want to upgrade their rifles. It may take a few days for all of the ISP's around the country to update to the new website, but keep trying.
We look forward to hearing from you and let me know what you think of the website.
We also look forward to seeing some of you in Reno in January at the SCI show.

This is an exiting time for us here at AHR.

Regards,

Wayne Jacobson

Wayne,

Congratulations to you and Ed both. I love the new website. Well done and best of luck for the future.

While I don't own any of your rifles (yet) I think they are one of the best values I've seen. I wish you the best and hope to make use of your gunsmithing in the future.

Wayne, I realize French means a kind of toast in Idaho but out of respect for some of the better stockers and checkering experts that do hang out in the USA, a small correction to the web site to replace "flour" by "fleur de lis" probably won't hurt your standing with the "wasn't invented here" crowd.

Wink, that's two votes for the French. Actually, that wording was carried over from the old website and needs to be corrected. Thank you for pointing it out.

I'm interested in the CZ bolt handle mod only. Do you offer this as a stand alone service?

Good luck with your new business. I am lucky enough to have had Ed build me a custom 300 H&H, that is one of the nicest rifles I own.

Wayne,
Congratulations. I have been working with Ed for the past couple of months. He's doing what appears to be the up grade #3 on my .375 CZ. We're still deciding on a piece of wood. I am preparing to ship my .458 for the same treatment. Good luck. Rich.

While I haven't made the leap into custom bolt guns, my lust so far has been for double guns, I have looked into them a good bit. AHR has, hands down, the best pricing for fine, working custom DG bolt guns in the market insofar as I have found. To include fantastic chamberings with the ammo to back it up. In fact it was a long talk with Ed that left me longing for a 450 Rigby. With the special to upgrade to AAA wood $4500 cannot be beat for a stomping 40-45 cal and $5K for 50-60 cal to boot.

Needless to say AHR is getting whatever mods my CZs will need.
